Ad sciendam sapientiam et disciplinam
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding.

Animadvertet parabolam et interpretationem verba sapientium et enigmata eorum
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
Per comprendere una parabola e la sua interpretazione; le parole dei saggi ed i loro discorsi oscuri

Principium Scientiae
timor Domini principium scientiae sapientiam atque doctrinam stulti despiciunt
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Il timore del Signore è l’inizio della conoscenza: ma gli stolti disprezzano la saggezza e l’istruzione.

Profundum
Degluttiamus eum sicut infernus viventem et integrum quasi descendentem in lacum
Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
Inghiottiamoli vivi come gli inferi, ed interi, come quelli che scendono nella fossa

Pedes Malum
Pedes enim illorum ad malum currunt et festinant ut effundant sanguinem
For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
Per i loro piedi corrono al male e si affrettano a spargere sangue.

Inprudentes Odi Scientiam
Usquequo parvuli diligitis infantiam et stulti ea quae sibi sunt noxia cupiunt et inprudentes odibunt scientiam
How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Fino a quando i fanciulli amano l’infanzia, e gli stolti desiderano quelle cose che sono dannose per essi stessi, e gli siocchi odiano la conoscenza

Non Timor Domini
Eo quod exosam habuerint disciplinam et timorem Domini non susceperint
For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD.
Poiché hanno odiato la conoscenza e non hanno scelto il timore del Signore.
VIII
Non Timor Malus
Qui autem me audierit absque terrore requiescet et abundantia perfruetur malorum timore sublato
But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
Ma chi mi ascolterà troverà una dimorera sicura e sarà tranquillo, senza timore del male.

Scientiam Dei
Tunc intelleges timorem Domini et scientiam Dei invenies
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
Quando comprenderai il timore del Signore e troverai la conoscenza di Dio

Dominus Dat Sapientiam
Quia Dominus dat sapientiam et ex ore eius scientia et prudentia
For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
Poiché il Signore dà la Sapienza; dalla sua bocca vengono la conoscenza e la comprensione

Exsultare Malus
Qui laetantur cum malefecerint et exultant in rebus pessimis
Who rejoice in doing evil and delight in the perverseness of evil.
Chi è contento quando fà del male, e gioisce delle cose più malvagie

Viae Perversae
Quorum viae perversae et infames gressus eorum
Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths.
Le cui vie sono perverse ed infami nei loro percorsi.
XIII
Beatus
Beatus homo qui invenit sapientiam et qui affluit prudentia
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Beato è l’uomo che ha trovato la sapienza, ed è ricco di prudenza
